The Colonial Echo is the oldest publication on campus with its first issue covering the academic year 1898-1899. The yearbook is similar to a high-school or middle school book; we have sections covering student life, sports, performing arts, greeks and club organizations, and special events on campus, among other things. Each volume has a theme and the staff strives to include the events of the year in our coverage.
The Colonial Echo has been highly awarded in the past. Most recently, three volumes (108, 109, 110) have received the highest award possible from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association judging process: a Gold Medal.
The Colonial Echo is funded by the Media Council at William & Mary, any patronage received, and Senior ad payments.
